Maya is a "Dynamic" One Woman Show singing live with her own choreographed dance routines to the music from the 40's Big Band Jazz sound and the Rock & Roll music of the 50's 60's and 70's. Adding her own style to the music from Patsy Cline, Cher, Barbara Streisand, Ella Fitzgerald, Edith Piaf and others. Maya also brings you the music from Broadway Musicals like "Cats" Les Miserables, Cabaret,Phamtom Of The Opera just to name a few. She is truly an "Entertainer" using multiple costume changes,props, and audience participation to add flavor and excitement to her shows.She is also bilingual, speaking and singing in French.
Her career spans over 30 years when she started in the 70's with various Show Bands where she performed at Prestigious Hotels across the U.S. and Canada.One more notable hotel was the Bonaventure Hotel in Montreal Canada where her band Hi-Rize worked on the same stage as the Village People and Sam & Dave.She also sang at various Hilton Hotels and one of them in Orlando Florida was where her band Hi-Rize again shared the stage with the famous band Spiral Staircase.Some of the other bands Maya sang with were Starburst from Boston, then moved on to Spellbound of New York,she later teamed up with Hi-Rize out of Florida,then Moxie from Minneapolis. She also sang in the New England Area in the 90's with Wayne Read and Steve Thompson from the Uno Duo Band, as well as with Best Shot, a duo with David Moody. She has had her One Woman Show for the past 10 years and continues to sing throughout New England. Maya is available for Weddings, Dinner Parties, Corporate Functions, Retirement Homes etc.
